The Flume Trail may not be a technical marvel, but its scenic grandeur makes it a must-ride. This trail was completely realigned and improved in 2017/2018 through a joint effort between the Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association, the Tahoe Rim Trail Association, and the US Forest Service. Once you reach the lake, take a left around its perimeter, and you'll arrive at the official trailhead of the Flume Trail.The Flume is a well-marked, singletrack trail with the occasional technical section. Your efforts are rewarded with a fast descent towards Spooner Lake. Start with a 1,000-foot climb on a fireroad that isn't overly demanding but can be steep in parts. Upon arriving at the parking lot, clear signage guides you to the trailhead. Don't forget to bring some cash for the park entry fee. The park is about a 2-hour drive from downtown Incline Village.
